GOD's Appointed Times

Written by Leon Clymer on . Posted in Festivals

There are certain times and days that have been sanctified by the LORD as special to Him. These are not times developed by the traditions of humanity, but days made holy by the will of God.

"These are the designated times of the LORD, the holy convocations you are to proclaim at their designated times." (Leviticus 23:4). These times are called the Shabbat, Pesach (Passover), First Fruits, Shavuot (Pentecost), Rosh HaShanah (Trumpets), Yom Kippur (Atonement), and Sukkot (Tabernacles).

These appointed times are an important part of GOD's will for our lives. They are meant for our benefit and blessing. They are included in the laws and commandments given to Moses. They are inseparable from the written words of the Torah and the Living Word, Yeshua, as exemplified by His observance of these appointed times. There is no substitute for these times.

The Holy Spirit is calling us to remember these appointed times given from the heart of GOD. In a few weeks, we will be observing the Fall Feasts of Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. Our observances are focused on the spiritual meanings of these feasts, with special emphasis on the wonderful way our Messiah Yeshua fulfills them all.

Come join us this season and discover the spiritual blessings as we submit ourselves in obedience to GOD's commandments and accept His gift of these appointed times.
