Children's Ministry

“You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.” Devarim 6:7

Our Vision - Investing in our future

The Rosh Pinah Children's Ministry is a vibrant and active part of our growing congregation. Our vision is to spread the gospel of Messiah Yeshua to children and families through innovative and unique ministry opportunities. In doing this, we make disciples of the next generation, equipping them to have a Biblical world view, and enabling them to be anointed world-changers. We view children’s ministry not as a baby-sitting service but as ministry opportunities to educate, equip and empower children through several innovative programs.

Shabbat School

Our Shabbat school is for ages 4-12 years old. Children are encouraged, along with their families, to participate during the morning liturgy and worship time. After the worship time is complete the children are called forward to stand under a large tallit (prayer shawl) at the front of the sanctuary for prayer and to receive a blessing.

The children are escorted to the West Wing classrooms to work on age-specific Scriptural lessons with our teachers. Due to security and safety concerns, the children will remain in the Shabbat School rooms until parents, guardians or other designated individuals pick them up.

"Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."

Psalms 127:3-5

Children’s Shabbaton

After our Oneg (fellowship lunch) the Children’s Shabbaton class is for ages 4-12 years old. Through this program, the children are provided the opportunity to socialize, learn and participate in activities designed to build up their faith in Messiah, their understanding of the scriptures, and their interactions with others in matters of faith and leadership all in a fun and uplifting environment.

A Safe Place

The ministry at Rosh Pinah is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for those participating in our ministry activities. Everyone involved in our children’s ministry has successfully completed a background check and been vetted by leadership. Workers involved in children ministry will not spank, hit, grab, shake, or otherwise physically discipline any child.

Our goal is to create a safe ministry space for all children to spiritually grow and thrive.
